Trusts – Trusts deed drafting and registration
All trusts need regular reviews to stay aligned with your family’s circumstances and legal changes, including court rulings and SARS tax updates. Most South African trusts are poorly administered, leaving them vulnerable to being declared invalid. If that happens, your family’s assets could be exposed to creditors and face severe tax consequences.

Professional trustee
As trustee/administrator, Taxlex partners with you to handle new trust setup (drafting, registration, due diligence, co‑trustee meeting) and existing trust reviews (risk/governance audit, deed updates, trustee changes, Master’s Office liaison). We also act as independent professional trustee, formally accepted by the Master of the High Court.

Trust Administration service
Taxlex handles trust administration: agendas/minutes, annual trustee meetings, income collection and payments, resolutions, beneficiary distributions (FICA/tax), legal agreements, investment oversight, tax compliance, accounting, loan accounts, and record keeping. On termination, we manage resolutions, Master’s Office liaison, beneficiary communication, adviser/accountant coordination, and transfer of compliance files.
